Hardt, 2003 p.297).<\/p><p class=\"p1\"><em><strong>In 2023, Keltner defined awe as \u201cthe feeling of being in the presence of something vast that transcends your current understanding of the world\u201d.<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p class=\"p1\">The origins of awe trace it back to the Old Norse and Icelandic words of agi, aghe, ege and aegilegur with meanings of terror or dread relating to mystical or divine beings.
